Boarding Information
Our lodges offer complete services and many extras to make your pet’s stay away from home a safe, happy and pleasant experience. We know how important it is for you to be assured that while you’re away, your pet is enjoying the best care in an environment that meets both their physical requirements as well as offering fun filled activities designed to make their stay away from home something that they will really enjoy!
Not all pets have the same requirements. With that in mind, we offer a wide variety of services and amenities. As you tour our website, you will see many smiling faces on our guests and their owners too! That’s of utmost importance to us, as we know it is to you.
A stay at Peninsula Pet Lodge is like a vacation for your pet. Whether your pet loves to play or just be pampered - we have just the vacation in store for your pet. Some pets just want to have fun, and that is exactly what they will have at Peninsula Pet Lodge.
FOR THE DOGS
Accommodations:
- Indoor rooms are available for our smaller Guests as well as our Special Needs Guests
- Indoor/outdoor rooms are for our larger, more robust Guests with an inside sleeping room and an outside patio.
- One exercise period per day is included in the daily boarding rate.
- Guest rooms contain a hammock, resting pad or slumber bed
- We encourage you to bring blankets or beds from home.
- Toys and chews are welcome.
- All belongings must be clearly marked with last name using a permanent marker.
Meals:
- Our Guests receive 2 complimentary meals each day plus cookies breaks and treats.
- Our breakfasts and dinners consists of Avo Derm Lamb and Rice.
- Our small Guests are fed Canine Caviar.
- All canine guests are given hot meals with Peninsula Pet Lodge’s homemade stew consisting of cooked turkey, beef, buffalo and chicken. Vegetables are added. It is a complete diet!
- You may bring your pet’s special diet if desired, and we will give it as directed. Please bring enough for an extra day or two, in case your plans get changed.
Health & Grooming:
- All Guests are examined upon arrival. If necessary, they will be given a flea bath (fee will be assessed) before entering the guest rooms.
- Medications are given gladly. Extraordinary meds are charged extra.
- We require all Guests to be up to date on their inoculations. Please see our Boarding Requirement for additional details.
- Our Guests will be given a luxury bath for $15.00 - $25.00 before they leave us. We also offer a full Grooming Service facility.
- If your pet should require medical attention while in our care, our customary procedure is to contact your veterinarian. Should the nature of your pet’s illness require an office visit, we reserve the right to utilize our on-call veterinarian, depending upon the illness and the travel required to access your veterinarian. Please provide us with a phone number where you or the person you designate can be contacted in the event of an emergency. Oral or topical medication can be administered to your pet while boarding; including injections. Special care fees will apply ($2.50 per injection).
Play & Exercise:
- We have high school “puppy huggers” that come in to exercise your pets as a complimentary service to you.
- We also offer playtimes, nature walks and other pampered pet activities at an additional charge. (please see Rate page for pricing on these special services)
- Nature Walks - Walks specifically planned to include the sights and sounds (and lots of trees!) of a park or forest setting, like the times you take them hiking with you. Our spacious secure fenced grounds let them feel like everyday is a “hike in the park”
- Frisbee and Ball Catch - Is your dog used to daily frisbee throws or ball catching? We offer the same thing, making their day as fun filled as it is when they’re at home.
- Pool Swimming - A large pool with an access ramp for them to leap into a cool wet world of fun! See pictures of some of our guests enjoying their swim.
- Walking and Jogging - Is your dog used to a daily walk or jog with you? We can provide camp counselors to step into your role while you’re away, and provide that service to keep your dog in the daily routine they’re used to.
- Extra TLC - services with tender petting and loving attention they crave when you’re away. Extra one on one scheduled interaction time with one of our camp counselors.
- Bizzy Bones- are designed for the inquisitive dog with discriminating taste. Room service will deliver a strong rubber toy stuffed with a delicious and wholesome treat made daily in our kitchen.
- Night Walks - gets your dog ready for a peaceful night’s sleep. Before bedtime your dog will receive a minty treat, a teeth brushing and a bedtime story.
- “Business Walks” are available daily for those dogs that prefer to eliminate on grass.

- Aqua Therapy - The ultimate day spa treatment designed to rejuvenate your dog in a custom-designed canine whirlpool. A large pool, 17 x 19, where they actually swim and do exercises, with trained personnel who will help with the exercises. - The Grooming Salon - A full service Grooming Salon for coat trims, nail trims, baths, and more. For a more detailed information and a list of services check out our Grooming Salon.
- Dog Day Treats - Frosty Paws - It’s not ice cream, but your dog will think it is! Frosty Paws tm was developed as a healthy replacement for ice cream. It is a nutritious frozen treat that is fortified with protein, vitamins and minerals dogs need for good health. It has no added sodium, sugar, artificial flavors or artificial colors. And dogs love Frosty Paws because it’s cold, delicious and refreshing.
Pets First Program
- We have a proactive “Sick Pet Care” protection program to cover unexpected illnesses or injuries. All guests will be charged $5.00 per stay for this service. Ask for details.
FOR THE CATS
Accommodations:
- Private individual condo units, with a view and a fresh “cozy bed”. We encourage you to bring blankets or beds from home.
- A Common Room where they can interact and play, a great place for constant social interaction. Special cat climbing furniture lets them jump, pounce or just relax. You’re encouraged to bring their own toys to make them feel more at home.
- Please mark all personal belongings with a permanent marker.
- All cats receive attention and petting during their daily care… extra special One-On-One services are available for the Pampered Pet. (please see Rate page for pricing on these special services)
Meals:
- Our Kitty Guests receive 2 meals each day from your choice of various special diets. In the evening they receive a tasty treat of Fancy Feast; the flavors are varied each night.
- You may bring your pet’s special diet, or particular delicacies, if desired. We will feed your Kitty as directed. Please bring enough for an extra day or two, in case your plans get changed.
Health & Grooming:

- We require all Guests to be up to date on their inoculations. Please review our Boarding Requirements for additional information.
- While a Kitty Guest is staying with us, we will give medications if required, but if they resist, we must charge an extra $.50.
Pampered Pet Amenitites:

- Extra TLC - services with tender petting and loving attention they crave when you’re away. PURR-fect! Extra one on one scheduled interaction time with one of our kitty cuddlers.
- One-On-One interactive playtime session with a kitty cuddler and some of their favorite toys from home, or some of the many toys we have available.
